ArcaLoot Owners Explore Borderlands 4 Together

Borderlands 4 dropped us straight into the chaos we love but this time, with some fresh twists and a massive world to conquer. As a fast-paced shooter built on nonstop action, it demands loot that can keep up. Lucky we were primed and ready to go with our gaming mousepads.
A Whole New World to Discover
The new planet is nothing short of incredible. Unlike the harsher, more barren worlds of previous Borderlands games, this one feels alive in a way that constantly pulls you in. It’s vast, unpredictable and covered in sprawling jungles, towering cliffs, and hidden valleys teeming with lush green plant life. The sheer scale made exploration addictive; we’d head off in one direction to check out a side quest, only to stumble into an entirely different adventure along the way. It felt less like moving from mission to mission and more like uncovering a living, breathing world we didn’t want to stop exploring.
Our Hunters: Rafa (AussieAntics) and Vex (Knotica)
Rafa is a high-mobility exo-soldier who uses an Overdrive system to boost his speed and damage whenever he activates one of his three action skills: Peacebreaker Cannons (auto-turret firepower), Arc-Knives (melee combos with burst finishers), or the APOPHIS Lance (charged ordnance blasts).
AussieAntics enjoyed Rafa’s Exo-suit that gives him some high mobility, strong output, and a lot of freedom in how he can approach fights. Whether it was grouping up a bunch of enemies in the one spot, or dashing around slicing and dicing everyone on his path, the Arc-Knives combos was his favourite by far.
AussieAntics Quote
“Borderlands continues to provide what so many other games lack. A co-op game I can play with friends but still have the depth and skill to challenge my competitiveness and push myself further.”
Vex is a Siren Vault Hunter whose Phase Covenant trait lets her attune to the element of whatever gun she’s holding. She’s versatile and can summon minions via Dead Ringer, use her pet “Trouble” with Phase Phamiliar, or go into burst-damage mode with Incarnate, which restores health and gives powerful offensive boosts.
I loved using “Trouble” the pet minion that I could choose where to have it teleport and do large impact damage. I very much enjoyed that Trouble would change colours depending on what element weapon I was holding. AussieAntics could even give Trouble a pet after we destroyed a group of enemies.
Both felt fantastic to play. The new vault hunter abilities kept things fresh and made co-op teamwork even more fun. Whether we were blasting through enemies or pulling off combos, it felt like we were truly shaping the fight our way.
Grapple Hooks & Seamless Vehicle Transitions
The new grapple mechanic Borderlands 4 has introduced was awesome. Double jumping and then swinging into battle, reaching high spots, and pulling off stunts never got old. Pair that with the crazy vehicles Borderlands is known for, and we had some of the most fun we’ve had in a co-op looter shooter game in a long time. The vehicle transition felt seamless and extremely smooth, we were both very impressed.
Why We’ll Keep Coming Back
What made the experience so memorable wasn’t just the story or the chaos, it was how the game encouraged us to explore, laugh, and work together. Borderlands 4 gave us a co-op adventure that felt bigger and better in every way and we will be back to tear it up on our gaming mousepads again.
